Somebody walked away from hot oil cooking chicken on the stove. Caught the cabinets on fire first.

Devastating fire damage to this home's kitchen and surrounding rooms in Benton Harbor.  The owner's young son was cooking chicken on the stove top and left the room long enough for the cabinets to catch on fire.  These type of fires are very hot and spread rapidly.  The occupants only had time to get everybody out of the house before the fire department arrived.  It took an hour to get the fire out.
