Never leave space heaters running when you aren't around. Keep at least 3 feet from anything flammable.

Putting out a fire can be worse that the fire itself. 

Smoke, water, extinguisher chemical dust, broken windows and doors, holes cut into the roof.  It can be the biggest mess you have ever seen.  Let's hope you never do.
