Don't forget the ELEVATOR!!!

During a recent water loss at a commercial facility in Berrien County Michigan, the elevator had 4" of standing water.  Something that can be easily overlooked but has to be dealt with properly.  Gravity pulls water into every nook and cranny possible.  This is a confined space and must be opened by an authorized facility manager.  We extracted all the water, sanitized the floor and walls, dried the space.  If we hadn't, this would have turned into a cat 3 toxic stink bomb that could have vacated a building.  SERVPRO water techs turn into water detectives when your building depends on it.
