Roof leak causes ceiling damage.

This ceiling damage and removal happened in Niles, Michigan after a rain storm.  Wind driven rain leaked in at the chimney flashing and damaged the drywall ceiling. When you detect moisture in a drywall ceiling there us usually much more to dry than what is visible.  Insulation and structure need to be dried properly to prevent bacterial growth.  The chimney flashing also needed to be sealed against water intrusion.  Insulation and drywall was replaced and painted.  "Like it never even happened."
